August 31, 2018

Reports of citation Pompano today. From the bight. Tomorrow the winds will be SW at 6 kts. Tide is high at 10:30am and low is at 4:41pm. We have fresh bait. Finger mullet and jumping mullet.

The water is absolutely gorgeous! I fished off the end of the jetty this morning. I did not have any luck but I did see some cobia swimming by. There is schools of bait fish but nothing feeding on them today. I have reports of good size Pompano being caught from the south beach. High tide is 10:30am and low is at 4:41pm tomorrow.

Nice day today, sunny and hot. Reports of scattered Bluefish from Avon to Hatteras on cut bait and metal. Reports of Sea mullet being caught in Buxton. Some folks are having decent luck in the Sound. Reports of Puppy drum and a few trout on live bait or jigs. Take care.

Fishing was better today. I have reports of Blue fish and Spanish Mackerels taking lures. There are Pompano and Sea Mullet reported from the Frisco beach. Come in and check out our new Guy Harvey performance shirts. Take care.

Today I went out fishing from the coquina parking lot off of ramp 48. I caught several Croakers. There were commercial fishermen with nets set out. I saw lots of bait in the water and pelicans diving for them. Stop in and see us.

Today I had a few customers come in and they were so happy. I set them up the night before with some rigs and bait to catch fish with their children. They said that they caught all kinds of fish. It made me so glad to hear this. Sea Mullet, Croaker and small Flounder are what they caught.

 Reports of Spanish and Pompano are being caught from beaches all over the island. Tomorrow there will be a switch in the winds. They will be from the north at 10 to 15 kts.  High tide is in the morning at 6am.  Have fun and take care.

Nice day today, rain early then sun and a breeze. Folks have been picking up Spanish and Blues on the South beach here in Buxton. Tomorrow calls for some rain, but we will see. Take care.

Today was a rather hot day with a SW wind 10 to 15 kts. Fishing from ramp 44 people caught Spanish Mackerel on glass minnows. Keeper Drum reported from inshore charters this morning. Tomorrow calls for nice weather again and SW winds 15 to 20 kts. stop by and see us.
