Windy day today, NNE at 15-20, and cooler. Wind is beginning to lay down a little. I have not talked to anyone that was out fishing today. Maybe it will pick up over the next couple of days. Take care.

Nice day, N wind wind low humidity and the waterclean. We had heard sea mullets, couple pompano and one spot along the beaches. The sound still has been speckled trout and puppy drum, even a few spanish mackerel. It is going to be nice for awhile, with a cold front early next week. The waves calmed down today and there is a NE breeze. It feels so nice out. Caught in the surf today was Croaker and Sea Mullet. Sound side there are some Flounder, Speckled Trout and Drum. We have some fresh bait and nice looking blood worms. Put on some sunscreen and get out there. Enjoy yourself.

Another hot one today, SW wind 10 to 15. Scattered Sea mullet, Spot, Croaker and Pompano in the surf. In the Sound folks are picking up Puppy drum and Specks. Tomorrow more heat with a chance of a shower. If you are coming down to check out Shelly Island, be aware that a rip current advisory is in effect, so be safe. Take care.

Today We had a sunny but breezy day here on the Island with temperature in the 80's and SW 12mph wind. We received several reports on puppy drum and speckled trout that were caught on the surf and the sound side mostly on cut bait. Today the weather was nice. SW winds up to 20 mph though. Fishing from the beaches in Buxton, people caught Sea Mullet, Croaker and Spot. In the sound people are catching Red Drum, Flounder and Spanish Mackerel. Tomorrow it is to be more windy from the SW. High tide will be at 7:44am and low will be at 1:30pm. Have a good day.

Today was hot! Tomorrow should be a little cooler, high is 87*. There were plenty of fish caught. From the beaches is the same as yesterday Sea Mullet, Spot, small Pompano and Croaker. I have not heard any reports from the sound this afternoon. Have a good time.

Good day. I have reports of nice Sea Mullet and Pompano from the beaches here in Buxton. In the sound they are catching Red Drum, Speckled Trout and Flounder. Tomorrow the winds will pick up a bit SW 15-20 mph. The high temp tomorrow is 92 so the breeze will feel nice. We have Shelly Island shirts in now. Come in and cool off with a real fruit smoothie!

Yesterday and today more sea mullets and croakers were reported from the beaches. One fellow reported he caught double header of spanish mackerel on a two hook bottom rig with bloodworm fishbites.
