Afternoon thunder showers cooled us off a little. Spanish Mackerel, Blue Fish and Cobia were caught at the Point today. There is a moratorium on Cobia right now so you can not keep them but it sure would be fun to land one. Pompano and Sea Mullet from the beaches. Tomorrow the weather will be hot with afternoon showers. Winds will be light on shore 10kts....

Another hot one out there, but the fish were biting. There was a good Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel bite at the Point here in Buxton. Folks have  also been picking up Blues, Spanish, Spot, Sea Mullet and Croaker from Avon to Hatteras off the beaches. If you get the chance come on down. Today we had a SW wind at 13- 15 kts. People fishing on the east facing beaches reported catching Spanish Mackerel. There were keeper Flounder and Nice Spot and Croakers around too. Sounds like fun! Stop by and pick up all your beach needs. We have some very unique gifts in the gift shop too.

Lots of good fishing today from the beach. Spanish Mackerel, Blues and Spot are biting in Avon. In Buxton today I heard of Sea Mullet and Flounder. Hatteras inlet had lots of Blues too. Have a great day and drink plenty of water...IT IS HOT!

Today was another HOT one. This week is going to be hot too. Thank goodness we have a breeze. The fishing reports I received today was the same as yesterday. SeaMullet and Nice Spot from Buxton and Avon beaches. Lots of Blues and Spanish Mackerel from Hatteras Inlet. Stay cool.

It was a beautiful day here on the island. Typical summertime catches to report. Sea Mullet, Blue Fish, and Croaker were reported from the beaches. Some people from ramp 43 report catching Large Black Drum. The sound has been clear lately and Speckle Trout and Citation size Red Drum are being caught. Today the weather was nice. The fishing was good too. Sea Mullet, Croakers and Keeper Flounders were caught up and down the beaches. We have some 3" white swimming mullet GULPs for your Flounder rigs. There should be a NNE wind tomorrow which will keep the temperatures nice. The highs are upper 80's.   Today was a tad cooler as we had thunder showers off and on all day. Tomorrow more heat and more rain. Haven't heard much from the beach today . Some small stuff here in Buxton sea mullet, spot and some croaker caught behind the motels. I also heard in Frisco they found a hole full of pompano.
